The soaring Church of the Resurrection of Christ, built between 1883 and 1907
(also visible in the rear of the preceding photo).

This street sign is a relic of the World War Two siege of what was then
Leningrad; it warns pedestrians to walk on the opposite side of the street
when an artillery
bombardment is underway.
