These photos were taken on a month-long trip to Russia in May-June 2008.


Gallery 2: St. Petersburg


I.

We were told this is one of only two statues of Lenin remaining
in the city that once bore his name; it stands outside the Finland Station,
where he returned on the famous sealed train from Germany during World War One,
to launch the Bolshevik Revolution of 1917.
