Photo Gallery 58: Vietnam - Saigon & the Cu Chi Tunnels
This gallery: final photos from Saigon (for now), and a day trip to the Cu Chi Tunnels about 60 km from the city,
where thousands of Viet Cong fighters held out for years under intense American bombardment.

Adam takes aim at the on-site shooting range with an AK-47 automatic rifle. The first time
I've ever fired live rounds from a gun, as it happens. The recoil was less than I expected, but the report
was a hell of a lot louder! Photo taken by the tourist who shared a magazine of ten bullets with me.
(Griselda says my sharpshooter pose reminds her of Sniper Kitty ...)
IX.
Diorama showing how the guerrillas fashioned their own munitions from those the US dropped
on them. As our guide noted, "At the same time the US was bombing them, they were supplying them."
