Photo Gallery 43: Vietnam - Hanoi
We crossed into Vietnam at the Nam Xoi border crossing, and headed via Thanh Hoa
to Hanoi. Being back in a big city after the tranquil pace of northeastern Laos was something of a shock,
but I was soon captivated by the intense street life of Vietnam's now-booming capital.
At Hoan Kiem Lake in the heart of Hanoi's Old Quarter.
Where the bicycle reigned as recently as a decade ago, motorbikes and scooters now rule.
Early evening in the Old Quarter.
