This photo and following: tranquil Neak Pean, "an enchanting replica of a Himalayan paradisal
mountain lake" (Moon Guide), with a stone tower in the centre of a (now dry) lake, dedicated to the Bodhisattva. Built
in the late 12th century. The sculpture shown here may be the most enchanting face I saw carved at Angkor, and I can't decide
which of the two views I prefer, so you choose.
