These photos were taken during two months in Indochina
(Cambodia, Laos, and Vietnam) from May to July 2009.
Photo Gallery 9: Cambodia - Kampot
Kampot, on the Teuk Chhou River near the south coast of Cambodia, is a
relaxed agglomeration of faded French colonial architecture and lovely surrounding countryside. The
famous Kampot pepper comes from plantations in the vicinity, and is a fragrant addition to the local cuisine.

How come I can't look this cool when I travel?

The ride to Kampot was supposed to take about three hours. A couple
of hours in, our bus broke down and refused to budge. Griselda snapped this photo of the hardy
foreign contingent trying to push-start it. (Adam, it should be noted, was inside reading a book.)
In the end we all gave up and crammed into a minibus for the rest of the journey, which took seven
hours in all.
