Tiradentes is a picturesque village just twenty minutes' drive
from São João del Rei.

I saw Tiradentes in the very amiable company of Rafaela (left) and
Mariana, two university students in São João del Rei, whom I met over a beer
outside the cathedral depicted in the last gallery. Rafaela studies economics,
Mariana engineering. New women, new Brazil.
