Florianópolis, capital of Santa Catarina state, is divided into a mainland side,
and the center of the city which lies across a bridge on the Ilha (Island)
de Santa Catarina (see photo IV).

This photo and next: in Florianópolis's Historical Museum, formerly
Government House, first built in the late 18th century, and expanded and
modified through to the 20th. The most beautiful interior I had seen
to this point in the trip.
